The Third Isle of Wight Triumph Club Classic Car Run

3rd October 1999

This year we asked for minimum donations of £1.00 per car for charity, and all money raised to go to the Anthony Paterson fund.

We collected £27.62. So thank you to all those who donated and attended. We hope to present the money raised to Ron of R & C Motor Factors at our Club meeting on the 18th October, so please join us.

The Start - Parkhurst Forest, Newport

This year we started the run from Parkhurst Forest. As usual the run was open to all Classic Car enthusiasts.

Sadly we did not have the variety of makes this year, but this and the weather did not spoil the day which was definately dominated by Triumphs.

Maybe next year we will be able to get a few cars from the Morris Minor and Vectis Historic Club to come along.

Lunch Stop - Fort Victoria, Freshwater

Cars in attendance:

Triumph 2000 MKI, 2.5S MKII, 2.5PI MKII, Dolomite 1500, 1850 Sprint, GTR4 Dove, GT6, Herald 1200, Jensen Healey, Morris Minor convertible, Maestro Tandy Camper (not yet a classic, but maybe one day).

The run ended on Brading Downs with our traditional ice cream stop.
